11.37.01am GMT Mon 3rd Nov 2003

A group of young, talented, local musicians will perform at a public concert at All Hallows Church, Twickenham, on November 16th at 3pm to help raise funds for the Shooting Start Hospice Appeal.

The concert is also the second memorial concert for Olympia Cable, the late wife of MP Vincent Cable.

The concert will feature the Richmond Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Richmond Concert Band, the borough's youth jazz ensemble, a choir and recorder group from Chase Bridge school and a variety of soloists including Richmond Young Musician of the Year pianist Kerem Hasan. Other local performers include Katie Wright (clarinet), En Yuan Khong (violin), Matthew McTier (cellist) and Indian instrumentalist Sangeetha Sander from Whitton.

To help raise funds there will be an raffle and, after the concert, Vincent Cable will be raffling a Chelsea football shirt signed by the current present squad.

Entry to the concert costs £5 for adults, children under 16 free and tickets will be available on the door.
