The centre will comprise a state-of-the-art library plus three new ICT suites and will be opened on Wednesday 9 July. The scheme has been funded by Richmond Council as part of its ongoing secondary school capital investment programme, with the school paying for the ICT equipment and furniture. Cabinet Member for Education and Children's Services, Cllr Malcolm Eady, said: "This superb scheme is part of our continuing schools capital investment programme. It provides spacious and accessible state-of-the-art learning areas for use by the school and the wider community. It also provides a much-needed new entrance for pupils, creating a safe and welcoming access point. We are delighted with the outcome of the project."
